Beginning tomorrow, drivers traveling Adelbert Road should allot additional time to reach their destinations.
Weather permitting, the City of Cleveland plans to launch a roughly six-week resurfacing project at 7 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 7. The effort ultimately should provide smoother rides, but meanwhile is likely to cause brief delays where the road is reduced to one lane.
Drivers and pedestrians will be able to access buildings, lots and driveways during the course of the project. Traffic control will permit vehicles to proceed in one direction at a time.
The work is expected to conclude by the middle of October.
Meanwhile, the Circle Drive closure—from the intersection of Adelbert Road to the driveway for the Medical Center Company of Ohio—has been extended through Friday, Oct. 20. The additional time is required to allow completion of necessary utilities work for the Medical Center Company (MCCo), which serves much of University Circle, including Case Western Reserve and University Hospitals.
