The Association for Continuing Education, an initiative of the Laura and Alvin Siegal Lifelong Learning Program, will host their annual ACE Lecture Day Monday, Oct. 8, from 9:15 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Mayfield Sand Ridge Club (1545 Sheridan Road, South Euclid). The lecture day’s theme is “China’s New Silk Road: ‘One Belt, One Road,’” and will feature:
- Speaker Paul Schroeder, visiting assistant professor of political science, CWRU;
- Speaker Calvin Chen, associate professor of politics, Mount Holyoke College; and
- Moderator Heather Hodges, president and ambassador in residence at Cleveland Council on World Affairs.
This timely event will focus on developments and challenges of U.S. relations with China over trade. It will cost $35 for members and $45 for nonmembers.
