Access Services updates parking rates; discounts available for some employees

Editor’s note: This article has been updated to reflect that the employee discounts for parking and RTA passes have not increased for the 2018-19 academic year. The increase occurred in 2017 and remain the same for this year.

Access Services announced new parking rates for the 2018-19 academic year.

Parking rates

Parking rates for Case Western Reserve University lots have been updated. Specific rates for each lot are posted online at case.edu/access-services/parking/parking-rates. The new rates are effective July 1.

Students can purchase parking on the Access Services Parking Portal.

Employee discounts

In addition, the discounts are available to eligible staff.

Parking rates will be discounted 27 percent and RTA monthly passes discounted 55 percent for:

  • full-time employees with an annual salary less than $50,000 and
  • part-time CWRU employees with annual salary less than $25,000.

Employees are eligible for only one of these two discount options. Full-time employees work 20 hours or more per week; part-time employees work fewer than 20 hours per week.

Faculty and staff purchasing new parking permits must buy them at Access Services, which is located in Crawford Hall, Lower Level. Employees who already have parking deducted from their payroll don’t need to do anything, as their parking will roll over into the next fiscal year.

To receive the discount, you must use payroll deduction. Students working on campus are not eligible for this discount.
