“Accents, Language and Culture: How You Sound May Be Affecting How You Are Perceived in the Classroom and Beyond”

Faculty members, postdoctoral scholars and doctoral students are invited to hear from the Office of Faculty Development’s Sarah de Swart on how they can make themselves both understood and heard.

The event, titled “Accents, Language and Culture: How You Sound May Be Affecting How You Are Perceived in the Classroom and Beyond,” Tuesday, Dec. 4, from noon to 1 p.m. in the Flora Stone Mather Center for Women (Tinkham Veale University Center, Suite 248).

The Flora Stone Mather Center for Women and the Asian Women Faculty Association will sponsor the event.

Those who plan to attend should RSVP via the Google form by Nov. 30.
