Case Western Reserve University will host a public event for university and industry researchers, manufacturers and others interested in sustainable manufacturing and the circular economy Wednesday, April 24, from 8 a.m. to noon at the Tinkham Veale University Center.
The event will feature an overview of the progress on the Sustainable Manufacturing Initiative launched by CWRU in February 2023, and the subsequent National Science Foundation Regional Innovation Engines Development Award, received in May 2023 by CWRU and a committed group of partners.
The event will feature:
- Updates from Michael Oakes, senior vice president for research, on the university’s strategy;
- Insights from Baiju Shah, president and CEO of the Greater Cleveland Partnership; and
- A keynote from Nabil Nasr, CEO of the REMADE Institute, the only Manufacturing USA institute focused entirely on developing innovative technologies to accelerate the U.S. transition to a circular economy.
This is a free event, but registration is required. Continental breakfast will be provided.
