Who do you appreciate?
As Interim President Scott Cowen explained in the video above, Case Western Reserve was able to continue education and research during the pandemic solely because of the exceptional commitment and collaboration among the university’s faculty and staff.
Yet even amid a wealth of admirable efforts, some have been so extraordinary that they merit special acclaim.
More often than not, though, they are the ones least likely to tout their contributions. Such people are so focused on serving others that the power of their example doesn’t even enter their minds.
But the truth is we all need some inspiration—and these COVID-19 Champions most certainly deserve our cheers.
Do you know someone whose dedication made a difference during the pandemic? A professor who found particularly creative ways to keep everyone engaged—whether in person or online? A staff member whose energy unfailingly lifted spirits—even for the weariest among us? The perpetual problem solvers… ingenious inventors… always insightful advisors?
Tell us about them. We’ll announce the winners next month via a virtual event—and highlight their stories in The Daily.
The deadline to submit the form is 5 p.m., Friday, March 19. Don’t wait to nominate—your appreciation matters. Next week, The Daily will include updates about additional employee appreciation events and activities.
