A Body of Art health and humanities group seeks submissions to celebrate art in medicine

hand drawing heartA Body of Art, Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine’s health and humanities interest group, seeks submissions from medical professionals and health sciences students (both undergraduate and graduate) for “BONES: A ShowCASE of Art in Medicine.” This event is open to the entire university community, but submissions from health sciences students are preferred (both undergraduates and graduates). There is no limitations on how many works an artist may submit.

“BONES: A ShowCASE of Art in Medicine” will be a night in February or March filled with food, music, visual arts, poetry, prose and performance.

The goal of A Body of Art is to celebrate the beauty of human life and highlight the art of medical practice. Through engagement with students, patients and health professionals in the Cleveland area, A Body of Art hopes to foster an appreciation for creativity in the CWRU School of Medicine community and create a forum for interest in Health and Humanities.

For more information on how to get works of art showcased at this event, contact Mariana Gonzalez or Devlin Cole.
