Applications are now available for the Leonard Gelfand STEM Center’s Shipwreck Camp 2019. This science and exploration experience for 12- to 15-year-old children will take place on weekdays July 8-19 at Case Western Reserve University.
Through the program, campers will:
- Construct a remotely operated vehicle;
- Be introduced to SCUBA;
- Meet shipwreck experts;
- Learn history about the Great Lakes and shipping;
- Read a novel; and
- Engage in hands-on science focused on Lake Erie, shipwrecks and more.
The cost of this two-week camp is $535 and includes all field trips and daily lunch.
The capacity of the camp is 25 campers. A minimum of five staff support all camp activities.
