The next session in the Freedman Center for Digital Scholarship and University Center for Innovation in Teaching and Education (UCITE) workshop series will be held Tuesday, Jan. 26, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the library’s Freedman Center (on the first floor).
This session will be titled “Introducing Media Projects into the Classroom” and is designed for faculty who want their students to create a video or other types of media for a classroom assignment.
The session will cover the training needed for everyone to produce successful projects. It also will address legal and copyright concerns related to media projects, including appropriate use of waivers, uploading media to the web and alternatives to making media public.
This session is open to all, and no prior experience is required.

About the series
This collaborative initiative between the UCITE and the Freedman Center for Digital Scholarship offers participants the opportunity to learn about digital scholarship and incorporate that knowledge into their teaching.
These interactive workshops are designed to empower participants to incorporate CWRU’s digital tools and resources into their classroom experience.
There are five sessions total, and faculty who attend all five sessions will be eligible for funds to use digital scholarship projects to advance student learning.
