The CWRU Climate Action Plan was first published in 2011 and calls for climate neutrality by 2050, with numerous goals and steps along the way.
Join the Case Western Reserve University Office of Energy & Sustainability and campus partners to learn about and help drive the update of the campus Climate Action Plan.
The updated plan will highlight CWRU’s climate commitment successes, challenges and plans for the next five to 10 years of investment.
All members of the Case Western Reserve University community are invited to the Climate Action Plan Town Hall meeting Tuesday, Feb. 26, from 5 to 6 p.m. in Tinkham Veale University Center, Ballroom B. Participants need no prior knowledge of the current plan or sustainability to provide helpful input.
Leaders in the field of higher education sustainability from the SmithGroup and Fovea will be on campus to help town hall participants with their visioning and discussions.
Additionally, Jon Utech, senior director for the Office for a Healthy Environment at Cleveland Clinic, will give a brief keynote address. He will showcase the clinic’s sustainability and climate reduction efforts.
Appetizers and desserts will be served at the meeting.
