A book by Eva Kahana, Distinguished University Professor of sociology and the Pierce T. and Elizabeth D. Robson Professor of the Humanities, won an Outstanding Academic Title recognition from Choice, the publishing unit for a division of the American Library Association.
Kahana co-authored the volume, titled Disability and aging: Learning from both to empower the lives of older adults, with her son, Jeffrey Kahana.
The honor goes to the best titles reviewed by Choice each year; only about 10 percent of 6,000 books earn the recognition.
