Emotions can be difficult to understand at times. They exist to aid in decision-making, but that doesn’t mean it always happens. But even unpleasant emotions have value.
To help faculty and staff understand their emotions, the Professional Development Center will host a webinar titled “Using Emotions the Right Way,” Thursday, Jan. 24, from 10 to 11 a.m.
Bob Hall, director of the Professional Development Center, will lead the seminar.
This 60-minute webinar will explore the embedded purpose of various emotions and what they’re trying to call attention to. It also will look at some of the relevant science and research about emotions and their functions, and build strategies to use emotions wisely.
