Sexual Assault and Violence Educators (SAVE) at Case Western Reserve University will host Voices Against Violence, a discussion and speak-out event on domestic violence, today (Nov. 14) at 6:30 p.m. at the Flora Stone Mather Center for Women (Tinkham Veale University Center, Suite 248).
Participants will engage in conversations about domestic violence and unhealthy relationships. The event will culminate with a speak-out to give individuals the chance to share any of their thoughts on the experience or on domestic violence in general.
SAVE’s goal for the event is to further the community’s understanding of the issue of domestic violence and help make people better allies to survivors.
Cleveland Rape Crisis Center advocates will be at the event for those who need one-on-one support or who would like to discuss the resource.
Food from Dave’s Cosmic Subs will be provided.
Those who would like to share their thoughts or story, but who feel uncomfortable doing so in person can fill out an anonymous submission form to have it read during the event by a SAVE member.
