Rachel Lovell, senior research associate at the Begun Center for Violence Prevention Research and Education, briefed the U.S. Congress about her work on untested sexual assault kits as part of the Division on Women and Crime (DWC) of the American Society of Criminology. At the Congressional briefing, researchers summarized “state of the science” in their areas of expertise and offered evidence-based policy recommendations. Lovell’s research examines offender patterns in untested Cuyahoga County rape kits.
