Members of the Case Western Reserve University community are invited to a screening of the documentary film Capturing the Flag. The event, which also will include a discussion on the film, will take place Thursday, Oct. 25, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in Mather House, Room 100.
Kenneth Ledford, chair and associate professor in the Department of History, will provide an introduction to the film.
The Social Justice Institute, LGBT Center, Department of History, Department of Political Science, Center for Civic Engagement and Learning and Vote Everywhere CWRU will host the event.

This story about American democracy traces a tight-knit group of friends as they travel to Cumberland County, North Carolina—the 2016 epicenter of a voting rights battle—intent on proving the big idea that American democracy can be defended by small acts of individual citizens.
