It is well known that Kelvin Smith Library provides books, articles and other resources to support research for faculty and students. However, many are not as familiar with the library’s potential to transform students’ classroom experiences.
As a central campus hub for research and learning, Kelvin Smith Library provides extensive, customizable teaching support to meet an instructor’s specific needs and help achieve course-learning outcomes.
At the next University Center for Innovation in Teaching and Education (UCITE) session, attendees will learn more about available options for pedagogical support through Kelvin Smith Library.
The session will address:
- Class sessions held at the library for students to learn about research tools;
- Class sessions held in the instructor’s classroom that target a specific resource, service or skill;
- Assistance with the design of research and writing assignments;
- Development of research guides tailored to course content; and
- Access to unique sources in Special Collections and University Archives.
This UCITE session, titled “Kelvin Smith Library Support for the Classroom,” will be held Thursday, Oct. 4, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:20 p.m. in the Allen Memorial Medical Library Building’s Herrick Room.
A pizza lunch will be provided.
