Bibliophile and angler S.A. Neff Jr. will give a bookbinding demonstration and gallery talk on his works at Kelvin Smith Library Thursday, Oct. 4. While inspired by traditional bookbinding practices, Neff uses a contemporary approach that results in binding design wholly unique to its genre.
The bookbinding demonstration will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. in the library’s Preservation Lab, and the opening reception, with a gallery talk, will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Dampeer Room and Hatch Reading Room.
