Case Western Reserve University students, faculty and staff are welcome to participate in the Day of Dialogue, a campuswide event for sharing ideas and hearing diverse perspectives on critical local, national and societal issues.
The Day of Dialogue will feature six discussions on different topics at six locations, each of which will take place Friday, Aug. 31, from 12:45 to 2 p.m. The discussions and locations are:
- “Immigration and American identity,” Tinkham Veale University Center, Senior Classroom
- “Taking a knee: sports, protest and the national anthem,” Adelbert Hall, Toepfer Room
- “Socioeconomic/class issues at CWRU,” Sears Library Building, Room 450
- “How religion helps us care for the Earth,” Tomlinson Hall, Library (sponsored by the CWRU Ethics Table)
- “Disability and access at CWRU,” Thwing Center, Bellflower Lounge
- “What is beauty? Who defines it and how does it impact how we view ourselves and others?” Thwing Center, Cleveland Room
Day of Dialogue is a collaboration between the CWRU Sustained Dialogue Program; First Year Experience and Family Programs; Office of Multicultural Affairs; Ethics Table; Office for Inclusion, Diversity and Equal Opportunity; and the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences.
