Faculty members interested in participating in the fall convocation academic procession are encouraged to register online by Monday, Aug. 20.
Those participating in the convocation procession wear academic regalia, including gowns and hoods. Faculty members are responsible for obtaining their own academic regalia from the University Bookstore.

About fall convocation
Fall convocation is the formal celebration that opens each new academic year at Case Western Reserve University. The 2018 event will take place Wednesday, Aug. 29, at 4:45 p.m. in Severance Hall. The ceremony will include a keynote address from the Sarah Kay, this year’s Elaine G. Hadden Distinguished Visiting Author.
Kay’s book No Matter The Wreckage, is an American poetry bestseller and was selected as Case Western Reserve University’s common reading.
