School of Law Professor Kathryn Mercer recently co-presented a workshop with Professor Jonathan Gordon on “Collaborative Learning in the Classroom: Motivating Students to Accept Responsibility for their Own Education.” Their talk took place at the Global Legal Skills Conference in San Jose, Costa Rica.
In May, she gave a talk, titled “Combining Pedagogy and Media Training to Teach Advocacy, Persuasion, and Presentation: Taking Precision, Concision, and Plain Speaking to New Levels,” at the 15th Biennial Conference of the Legal Writing Institute in Palm Springs, Calif.
Next month, Mercer is scheduled to present “Theatre, Pedagogy, and Media Training to Teach Persuasion and Presentation: Taking Precision, Concision, and Plain Speaking to New Levels to Attract, Invite, Intrigue, and Arouse Curiosity” at the seventh International Conference on the Arts in Society in Liverpool, England.
