Five undergraduate students won “Best in Class” recognition at the recent Choose Ohio First conference held at Youngstown State University. Choose Ohio First awards funds to universities and institutions, which then provide scholarships to STEM students studying in Ohio.
The recognition was granted to the following students for their research posters:

- Ogoegbunam Okolo, “Suppressive Transcriptional Regulation on Dendritic Morphology in Drosophila Melanogaster;”
- Hannah Goldberg, “Structure Motivated Mechanistic Modeling of Triphasic Force Dependent E-Selectin/Ligand Adhesion Behavior;”
- Kelsey Darrah (with Mary McPheeters), “Random Lasing in Liquid Crystals Doped with Dyes and Plasmonic Nanoparticles.”
