Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland Institute of Art and Cleveland Institute of Music students may use University Health and Counseling Services after this academic term ends depending on their status as a student and their medical plan. The end dates for services vary.
Continuing and enrolled students
Enrolled students and continuing students can use University Health and Counseling Services during the summer. Continuing students who use University Health and Counseling Services will be charged a $120 summer health fee.
Continuing students are:
- Not enrolled for May term or summer courses; and
- Enrolled in spring 2018 and resuming in fall 2018
Enrolled students are:
- Students enrolled in May term and/or summer courses;
- Medical, podiatry and dental students; and
- Students enrolled in the CWRU Student Medical Insurance Plan through Aetna.
University Health and Counseling Services summer services will be available from Wednesday, May 21, through Friday, Aug. 17.
Graduating students
For graduating students, services will extend to Friday, May 18. University Health and Counseling Services staff can assist students in coordinating follow-up care and identifying community resources to meet future health-care needs.
Students who are enrolled in the CWRU Student Medical Insurance Plan for spring semester are covered by their medical insurance through Tuesday, July 31. Medical students are covered through Saturday, June 30.
Information from individual health records at University Health and Counseling Services can only be released with student written permission. Those who need their health records should allow up to a week for processing.
