The Case Western Reserve University Office for Sustainability will host a discussion titled “Treenote: Soils, Canopies, Climate” and an awards presentation Wednesday April 11, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. in Tinkham Veale University Center, Ballroom B.
Keynote speakers will include James Sottilo of ELM Scapes Arborist, and Matt Langan from Sasaki Landscape Architect.
Speakers will discuss:
- The sustainability story behind planning, preparing soils and selecting trees for the Nord Family Greenway;
- Organic grounds care;
- The Cleveland Tree Plan; and
- Impacts of all of these on climate.
The CWRU Office for Sustainability also will honor its annual campus Sustainability Champions with awards.
Heavy appetizers will be served. Those who plan to attend should register online.
