In early February, the Human Capital Management (HCM) and PeopleSoft Financials (FIN) systems joined Virtual Private Network (VPN) as Case Western Reserve University systems requiring Duo Security two-factor authentication at login.
Now that most HCM and FIN users have enrolled in Duo Security, the system settings are being modified to maintain authorized user access and reduce the risk of account misuse.
As of Sunday, March 18, the HCM and FIN login pages will no longer prompt unregistered users to enroll. Any enrollment or account management only will be performed:
- At the Duo Enrollment page;
- Linked from securityaware.case.edu; or
- From the University Technology ([U]Tech) self-service tools at its-services.case.edu.
New users will be informed of the Duo Security requirement at new employee orientation, through training materials and by direct managers.
