Michael Goldberg, assistant professor of design and innovation, reflected on his recent trip to Slovenia in an article for HuffPost titled titled “Tapping into the Diaspora – Angel Investor Support from Abroad.”
While in Slovenia, Goldberg led seminars on entrepreneurship, with angel investing as one of the topics. During his trip, he learned that Slovenians often have a hard time securing such funding.
In his article, Goldberg wrote about the idea of having entrepreneurs reach out to wealthy Slovenians living in the U.S. While this proved to be a challenge, Goldberg wrote about how a shared nationality could be a starting point.
