The Social Justice Institute will host an event titled “100 Days into the Presidency” Friday, April 28, from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Tinkham Veale University Center ballroom.
The event will be broken into three parts.
Kenneth Ledford, associate professor of history and law, will present “Is this Neo-Fascism or something else?” during the first portion of the event.
The second portion of the event will feature a series of speakers discussing the question “What’s at stake?” They will each share vignettes that engage the question. Confirmed speakers include: Tim Black, associate professor of sociology, on neoliberalism; Maria Miranda on reproductive justice; and Ryan Clopton-Zymler and Phyllis Seven Harris on LGBTQ justice.
Rhonda Y. Williams, Social Justice Institute founder and director, will moderate a brief discussion to capture the connections.
Joe Worthy, of the Children’s Defense Fund, will lead interactive table talks titled “Creative Resistance” during the third portion.

CAIR-Ohio’s Cleveland & Northern Ohio Chapter, LGBT Cleveland Community Center, Children’s Defense Fund-Ohio and New Abolitionist Association will co-sponsor the event.
