At the next University Center for Innovation in Teaching and Education (UCITE) session, Vincent Graziano, a lecturer in the Department of Mathematics, Applied Mathematics and Statistics, will present “Improving Outcomes in Mathematics by Using Learning Theory.”
In his discussion, he will relate some ideas from education theory and how they can be used in mathematics education. He also will share some of the ideas and uses of technology that can be employed to handle super-sized versions of sophomore level mathematics courses. Finally, he will discuss ideas on how to design courses that encourage personal growth of the students.
This UCITE session will be held today (April 6) from noon to 1 p.m. in the Allen Memorial Medical Library’s Herrick Room (use Adelbert Road doors).
