The Spangenberg Center for Law, Technology & the Arts at CWRU School of Law has opened the application period for summer research stipends for students in advanced degree programs at the College of Arts and Sciences.
Up to three $2500 stipends are available for summer research and writing leading to a publishable paper relating to intellectual property. Stipend recipients must commit to devoting sufficient summer time to research and writing to complete a scholarly paper which they must then submit for publication in a professional journal of their choosing.
The application deadline is April 24, 2017. Email a single PDF document that includes a current CV and a statement of up to 1000 words describing a) the proposed research and writing project, and b) applicant’s qualifications, e.g., course work or other experience, to pursue the proposed project successfully. A letter of endorsement from the department chair, advisor, or instructor is also required and should be emailed directly by the application deadline to: Professor Craig Nard (can8@case.edu) and Professor Martha Woodmansee (maw4@case.edu).
