To fight Alzheimer’s, research should be priority No. 1
Bloomberg Businessweek: The World Health Organization just released a report on dementia saying there is a new case every four seconds somewhere in the world. The report also predicts the number of cases worldwide will triple by 2050. But the organization didn’t mention some of the strides being made in research, such as School of Medicine researchers’ work with the cancer drug bexarotene. “This is a pretty fantastic drug,” said doctoral candidate Paige Cramer.
