Lucile Savary, a Moore postdoctoral fellow at MIT, won the 2016 Michelson Postdoctoral Prize from Case Western Reserve University’s Department of Physics.
She was recognized for his work with realistic theories of exotic phases and phase transitions in quantum materials.
Savary will spend this week in residence at Case Western Reserve University and give a colloquium and three technical seminars throughout the week.
Her colloquium, titled “Quantum Spin Liquids,” will be held Thursday, Jan. 26, at 4 p.m. in Rockefeller Building, Room 301.
The Michelson Postdoctoral Prize is awarded annually by the Department of Physics to an outstanding postdoctoral scholar active in any subfield of physics. The award, instituted in 1997, has become a premier national award for junior physicists.
