Swarup Bhunia, associate professor of electrical engineering and computer science, received a five-year National Science Foundation Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) grant worth nearly $462,000. The award is given to an investigator to pursue research in an emerging area, which Bhunia will do with his “Integrative and Scalable Approach to Embedded Hardware Protection” project. This research aim to develop technology to protect against hardware Trojan attacks in integrated circuits, which are threats to national security, Bhunia said. Find more information online.
