The Center for Civic Engagement & Learning will bring author and activist Paul Loeb to campus Friday, Sept. 16, for a series of events focused on leadership for social change, active citizenship and political engagement.
Loeb is the founder of the national, nonpartisan Campus Election Engagement Project and author of books including Soul of a Citizen and The Impossible Will Take a Little While.
Students, staff, and faculty interested in voter registration and voter education efforts on campus are invited to participate in an Election Engagement workshop with Loeb from 12:45 to 2 p.m. in the Tinkham Veale University Center Student Organization Center.

In addition, that evening, Loeb will deliver a keynote address titled “Soul of a Citizen: Making a Difference in Challenging Times,” in which he will discuss the role of ordinary citizens in fostering social change. This event will take place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Tinkham Veale University Center ballroom and is free and open to the public. Register for the evening event online.
