Science Café Cleveland presents “Our Radioactive World: Putting Fukushima in Perspective.” The talk will be held March 12—just more than a year after a 9.0 magnitude earthquake produced a tsunami that hit Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant and caused nuclear meltdowns and release of radioactive materials. At this month’s Science Café, Peter Faulhaber, Raymond F. Muzic Jr., Nancy Oleinick, Pejavar Sridhar Rao and Kathleen Farhang will discuss the Fukushima disaster and the concerns and effects of the radiation exposure.
The discussion will begin March 12 at 7 p.m. at Market Garden Brewery. Drinks begin at 6:30 p.m.
Science Café Cleveland is sponsored by the Case Western Reserve University chapter of Sigma Xi, 90.3 WCPN ideastream and Market Garden Brewery.
