The Spartan Mascot team—the Spartan and Spartie, a new life-sized plush mascot—is taking requests to appear at university department and student organization events. The Spartan or Spartie will appear free of charge at events, and you can now submit your requests for them online. Requests should be made at least two weeks before an event.
This year’s Spartan is Nicholas Barron, a second-year student; three students serve as Spartie, but their identities will remain secret until the 2012 Hudson Relays. When deciding which mascot would best suit your needs, it’s important to note that the Spartan is verbal, while Spartie is non-verbal.
