The 2015 – 2016 William N. Skirball Writers Center Stage Series continues with acclaimed artist and author Roz Chast on Tuesday, April 5, at 7:30 p.m. in Tinkham Veale University Center’s Kelvin & Eleanor Smith Foundation Grand Ballroom.
Roz Chast’s brilliant cartoons have graced the pages of The New Yorker, Harvard Business Review and Mother Jones for more than 30 years. To date, she has published nine compilations of her work, including the retrospective Theories of Everything: Selected, Collected and Health-Inspected Cartoons; bestselling children’s books, including The Alphabet from A to Y with Bonus Letter Z (with comedian Steve Martin); and the acclaimed memoir Can’t We Talk about Something More Pleasant?, which was a National Book Award finalist and the first graphic novel to win the National Book Critics Circle Award.
Her appearance is part of the William N. Skirball Writers Center Stage Series, which is sponsored by the Cuyahoga County Public Library Foundation. Case Western Reserve University is the academic partner for this series.
A limited number of student tickets will be available in person on the day of the event. Beginning at 10 a.m., students may show a valid university ID at the university center’s first floor information desk to obtain a free ticket to the event until all tickets have been distributed.
