The Flora Stone Mather Center for Women and the Laura and Alvin Siegal Lifelong Learning Program will host a talk with Justine Siegal, the first woman to coach a MLB team (Oakland Athletics in 2015).
Siegal, who also was the first woman to throw batting practice for a MLB team (Cleveland Indians in 2011), will present on the national nonprofit she founded, Baseball for All, Monday, Feb. 29, at 9 a.m. in Tinkham Veale University Center, Suite 248.
Baseball for All provides opportunities for girls to play, coach and lead in baseball. USA Baseball nominated her as the International Olympic Committee Woman of the Year and espnW named her an Everyday Hero in 2013.
