Cuyahoga judges pull out of court-reform effort
WKSU: Lewis Katz, the John C. Hutchins Professor of Law, talked about why people arrested on low-level felonies should move through the system quicker. “There is a quick evaluation based on the person’s record and ties to the community as to whether or not the crime should actually be charged as a felony. If the person is charged as a misdemeanant, he or she can appear in court immediately and have that case resolved,” he said.
