Case Western Reserve University faculty and students have the opportunity to further their research with high-performance computing through allocations on the Blue Waters system.
The Great Lakes Consortium for Petascale Computation (GLCPC) has been allocated 3.5 million node hours (equivalent to approximately 50 million core hours) annually as part of the Blue Waters project. This allocation provides GLCPC member institutions, such as Case Western Reserve, with an opportunity to advance their programs in computation, data and visualization intensive research and education.
To submit a proposal to the GLCPC Allocations Committee for allocations on the Blue Waters system, download proposal guidelines. This opportunity is particularly helpful for those faculty and staff who are completing data-intensive research, but don’t have grant funding for that sort of infrastructure.

GLCPC allocation proposals will be accepted through Nov. 16 at midnight. The proposal review process is expected to be complete by mid-February. Allocations awarded through GLCPC will be available for use beginning April 1 and will expire one year from time of award.
