On Wednesday, Nov. 11, the Case Western Reserve University community will join colleges and universities across the United States to honor military veterans by participating in the Veterans Day Commemoration and National Roll Call event, scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m. outside of Adelbert Hall.
The event will recognize veterans of the CWRU community and feature remarks from Ohio Sen. Frank LaRose, a decorated Army veteran. The ceremony will conclude with a “Minute of Silence” and a remembrance of those service members who have fallen by announcing the National Roll Call at 2 p.m.
In addition, a display of American flags, flags representing each branch of the U.S. military (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and Coast Guard) and POW-MIA flags will line the Binary Walkway, as will signs featuring statistics about America’s military veterans.
Light refreshments will be provided.
Those who would like to volunteer to read a handful of names during the event can contact Brittany Cecchetti, operations analyst and veterans coordinator, at brittanycecchetti@case.edu or by completing the online sign-up sheet.
