Geologist Ralph Harvey leads expedition to Antarctica

At the bottom of the world, a controversial search for cosmic leftovers

The Washington Post: For the 21st time, Ralph Harvey, associate professor of geological sciences, is leading an expedition to gather space rocks from the icefields of Antarctica. “If you want to find stuff falling out of the sky, get a big white sheet,” Harvey said. “We’ve got a white sheet as big as the continental United States.”
