The Prevention Research Center for Healthy Neighborhoods (PRCHN) seminar series will continue Wednesday, Oct. 14, from noon to 1:15 p.m. in the ground floor conference room of the BioEnterprise Building.
Cresha Auck Foley, grassroots director at the American Heart Association for Ohio and Pennsylvania, will give a presentation titled “Building with Grassroots Advocacy: Tools to Use and Love.”
She will discuss key grassroots advocacy tools and how they can be used to greatest effect. Examples from current and recent campaigns will be used as illustrations to demonstrate effectiveness, such as how to increase awareness and recruit partners to an effort or which social media platforms could be beneficial and how to think of their integration.
Auck Foley has worked in policy for the past 20 years. For most of that time, she has worked for the American Heart Association leading successful policy campaigns. Prior to this, she ran political campaigns.
Parking is available and a light lunch will be served.
