The Department of Music will host its first concerts at the newly opened Milton and Tamar Maltz Performing Arts Center Oct. 11-12.
The CWRU Symphonic Winds, conducted by Ryan Scherber, and the CWRU Jazz Ensemble I, directed by Paul Ferguson, will perform Sunday, Oct. 11, at 3 p.m.
The Case/University Circle Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Kathleen Horvath, will perform Monday, Oct. 12, at 7:30 p.m. This concert will feature two concertos performed by concerto competition winners Meigen Yu and Ailin Yu, sisters who are both pianists majoring in music.
Both events are free and open to the public.
