Headless chicken left at Justice Center most likely a ‘religious practice’
Fox 8: A headless chicken was found inside a box on the doorsteps of the Cuyahoga County Juvenile Justice Center Wednesday. Political science instructor Laura Tartakoff said it most likely was done by someone who practices Santeria, in which animal sacrifice is practiced. “When the animal, in this case, to be specific, the chicken, is left in a certain place, it’s an invocation, a prayer, hoping that their wish will come true,” she said.
