Even though the beginning of the year can be hectic at times, it is also the best time to think about ways to get classes off to the best start possible.
The first University Center for Innovation in Technology and Education (UCITE) session this fall will be held Thursday, Aug. 27, from noon to 1 p.m. in the Herrick Room of the Allen Memorial Medical Library (use the Adelbert Road doors).
Research shows that paying extra attention to these first few weeks of classes can establish extremely helpful patterns for both students and faculty.
This UCITE session will provide suggestions on how to get more engagement from students and how to encourage them to read and write better. The session also will include tips on what faculty can do to make the semester go more smoothly and address any concerns they might have.
Pizza, soda and water will be provided at this session. RSVP to ucite@case.edu.
