Note revised format of email notifications for CWRU voice messages

Effective May 29, voicemail users will notice a revised format of voice messages delivered to their Case Western Reserve University email accounts. These changes affect the subject line and sender details of the email notification, and were made to help voicemail users more easily identify such notifications in their email.

Users who do not use email filtering do not need to take any further action. Users who use email filtering should note the changes below and adjust their filters accordingly. All voicemail notifications will continue to be sent from unityconnection@case.edu.

Internal voice messages

The subject line for voice message notifications between two CWRU voicemail users will now be prefaced by “CWRU Voicemail”—e.g., CWRU Voicemail: Message from <Name of Caller> (1xxxxxxxxxx)

External voice messages

The subject line for voice message notifications generated by an external caller now will be prefaced by “CWRU Voicemail”—e.g., CWRU Voicemail: Message from Unknown sender (1xxxxxxxxxx)

The sender details for voice message notifications generated by an external caller has changed from “Cisco Unity Connection Messaging System <unityconnection@case.edu>” to “CWRU Voicemail Messaging System <unityconnection@case.edu>.”
