The Rite Aid Cleveland Marathon takes place on commencement day. The 2015 route will begin at Quicken Loans Arena and conclude at the Cuyahoga County Courthouse on Lakeside Avenue. The course is almost exclusively run on the west side of the city.
Visitors attending Case Western Reserve University’s commencement ceremonies should expect road closures and delays throughout downtown Cleveland, including street closures on Superior Avenue, Carnegie Avenue and East 18th Street, which may impact routes to Case Western Reserve University. The marathon course will also impact the near west side, Lakewood and Rocky River as well as parts of the Shoreway. Please plan ahead and allow for extra travel time.
