University Compliance Office to launch final round of ”Speaking of Privacy” sessions this month

The University Compliance Office will kick off its last round of “Speaking of Privacy” sessions this month.

The final sessions will take place on the following dates:

  • Thursday, April 16—General Privacy Management in Higher Education
  • Thursday, May 21—Issues on FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act)
  • Thursday, June 18—Issues on HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act)

All three sessions will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. in the Toepfer Room of Adelbert Hall.

Since last July, the University Compliance Office has presented monthly privacy-related information sessions for Case Western Reserve University employees to learn best practice tips to apply to their jobs. Taking place on the third Thursday of every month, the topics have rotated monthly between general Privacy Management in Higher Education, Issues on FERPA and Issues on HIPAA.
