The campus community is invited to attend the Short. Sweet. Film Fest April 10-12 at The Metropolitan at The 9.
The festival was created in 2012 by alumnus Mike Suglio (CWR ’09, MGT ’12) and former Case Western Reserve student Alex Pavloff with the goal of showcasing local and student talent and bringing independent cinema to Cleveland.
Now in its fourth year, the festival will feature 64 films and seven different bands at the brand-new Alex Theater at The Metropolitan at The 9. Many musicians are CWRU grads or current students. CWRU students Brendan and Cailtin Hearn will play, and graduates Laine Seliga and Christopher Black also will perform.
The festival will feature the film Kokabiel, which is directed and starred by CWRU graduate B. J. Halsall.
Suglio also will show his own film, A Tribute to the Fallen, which was shot on location in Manjuyod, Negros Oriental, Philippines.
