Applications are being accepted for the Stephanie Tubbs Jones Award, established to recognize an underrepresented, undergraduate Case Western Reserve university student for significant contributions to campus life, scholarship and community service. This year, the application for the award is due March 17 at 11:59 p.m.
The award was award was created in 2010 to honor Stephanie Tubbs Jones, a Case Western Reserve University alumna who embodied the spirit of community and Spartan pride. She was the first African-American woman to represent Ohio in the U.S. House of Representatives. She died suddenly in 2008 at the age of 58.
