In partnership with the Division of Finance, Office of Sponsored Projects Accounting and Office of Administration, Information Technology Services will resume the in-person courses of the Case Western Reserve University Administrative Professional Series (CAPS) on Feb. 9.
CAPS serves to educate university employees on the policies and procedures that direct their stewardship of university funds. The series is composed of three online and 10 in-person courses that provide critical training for:
- PeopleSoft Financials
- Departmental accounting
- Sponsored projects
- Purchasing
- Travel policy
- Interpersonal communication
The following in-person courses will be offered on campus during February and March.
- All Things Travel—Monday, Feb. 9, 1:30 to 4:30 p.m.
- ABCs of Financials at CWRU—Tuesday, Feb. 10, 3 to 4 p.m.
- Financial Online Inquiries—Friday, Feb. 13, 9:30 a.m. to noon
- Sponsored Projects Accounting: Fundamentals—Monday, Feb. 23, 2 to 3:30 p.m.
- Sponsored Projects Accounting: Cost Transfer—Wednesday, March 4, 1 to 2:30 p.m.
- Effective Interpersonal Communications—Thursday, March 5, 9 to 11:30 a.m.
- Sponsored Projects Accounting: Project Closeout— Monday, March 9, 1 to 2:30 p.m.
- Sponsored Projects Accounting: Proposal to Award—Tuesday, March 17, 2 to 3:30 p.m.
- Sponsored Projects Accounting: Project Monitoring—Wednesday, March 25, 1 to 3:30 p.m.

Employees may choose to complete one course or the entire curriculum. Employees who complete the entire CAPS curriculum are eligible to test for the Certificate of Achievement in Financial Management.
